Technologies and its ERPXWare: “The cost-benefit with WorkWithPlus is always favorable”

The Chilean company Technologies managed to cut its development time for its new ERPXWare versions by half by implementing the products WorkWithPlus for Web, WorkWithPlus for Native Mobile & WorkWithPlus for BI.

Technologies (Technologies & Solutions Ltda) is a software company that creates and markets its ERPXWare, made on a web platform under strict ISO quality standards.

One of the senior developers at Technologies, Aníbal Espinoza, tells us, “we have been an IT partner of our Retail and Cargo clients for years, we know the business and we have the experience. For this reason, from the preliminary definitions, we trust in WorkWithPlus as an excellent alternative to develop our new ERPXWareLite. The result has been very positive, since we achieved a transversal, friendly and very complete product for other retail niches, with point of sale, administration, security, user administration, existence, supplies and electronic billing, all in the same ERP”.

In turn, they tell us that they are carrying out an e-commerce using one of the Design Systems provided by WorkWIthPlus as a development base. Taking advantage of the 100% flexibility that WorkWithPlus provides, they have customized this design to the maximum to meet and always be attentive to the new UX/UI requirements of end users.

Technologies has over 25 people developing XWare, and they have an experienced team of professionals in its design and development areas, which work full-time in ERPXWareRetail, ERPXWareLite and ERPXWCarga, having its main customer base in Chile, but also important commercial ties in Argentina.

In our talk, Aníbal told us that one of the main challenges was user customization. “WorkWithPlus was of great help, for example, in the screen design stage, since the WorkWithPlus tree has real-time previews. That allowed the team to quickly achieve what we had projected. It is remarkable to be able to see a banner, icon and images in the correct size, easily change the favicon or make corrections immediately, without wasting time compiling and running the KB. In addition, we managed to pass the filter of our Marketing and Web Projects area, which requires us to comply with the identity parameters of the company and the XWare brand, and for that, working in a friendly design environment is vital.”

Carlos Álvarez, CEO of Technologies, tells us that ERXWare are mission-critical tools for its clients and that one of Technologies' main promises is to deliver technology with which they can compete on an equal footing. In this context, WorkWithPlus has been an excellent ally, since it enhances development in less time and reduces risk. “Clearly there are many more benefits regarding the total development time of the work team and the achievement of goals. I think it would have taken us twice as long to do our developments if we hadn't used WorkWithPlus.”

Technologies has been using WorkWithPlus since 2013, initially with WorkWithPlus for Web, and later including WorkWithPlus for Native Mobile & WorkWithPlus for BI (Business Intelligence).

Carlos tells us that “from 2019 to date we have released several versions of our ERPXWare that are made with WorkWithPlus. The most important thing for our company is that it has a very good cost-benefit ratio compared to others. Another benefit of WorkWithPlus is that it is a very stable product.”

The product they use most for their applications is WorkWithPlus for Web, but they occasionally use Native Mobile & BI for some solutions as required. Carlos specifies that “our ERPXWRetail has several large modules, so WorkWithPlus helps us obtain a result that is as standard as possible.” For his part, Anibal highlights that "several very interesting functionalities have been important, such as the Design System Wizard, the grid with all its power and flexibility, the web components in actions and grids, among others."
